WIN! A Cornish weekend break
To celebrate the reopening of The Pier House in Charlestown, Cornwall, we are giving away a two-night bed-and-breakfast stay for two, dinner with drinks, a tour of the nearby St Austell Brewery and a dozen bottles of Britain's best- selling premium IPA.
Following a devastating fire in January 2023 The Pier House reopened in June following a transformational refurbishment. Sitting on the historic Georgian harbour, Charlestown is famous for its tall ships, which have appeared in films and hit TV series, including the BBC's Poldark.
Guests at The Pier House can expect unrivalled waterside views, as well as St Austell Brewery's award-winning beers at the bar and a delicious menu that champions produce from the South-West. There are 23 newly refurbished bedrooms, which all take inspiration from the surrounding coastline. It's the perfect bolthole to enjoy all that Charlestown has to offer, and its sea-facing bar makes it one of the best places in Cornwall to relax and soak up the views.
The lucky winner and their guest will also get to see behind the scenes of St Austell Brewery. A tour will explain how its great beers get from grain to glass. You'll see some of the top-quality raw ingredients that go into a pint - including British-grown barley and hops - and learn all about the brewing process. There will be a brief walkthrough of over 170 years of brewing history before a tutored sampling session of some award-winning beers. Once you're an expert, you will be treated to lunch in the brewery's famous Hicks Bar!
To savour every memory of this Cornish trip the winner will also receive a case of one of St Austell Brewery's flagship beers, Proper Job, to enjoy back at home. It's a powerfully hopped IPA packed full of vibrant citrus, grapefruit and pineapple flavours.
