Voted the UK’s number one scream park by The Screamie Awards, Shocktoberfest returns again to Tulley Farms, Crawley, for an evening of frightastic fun.
With nine live attractions to work (squirm?) your way through, you’re guaranteed to be screaming. The Village Coven of Thirteen will have witches out after your soul, The Chop Shop garage- on the Scare Factor scale at 9- surely isn’t for the faint of heart, or as Shocktoberfest puts it, ‘lily-livered quitters’. New for 2018 comes the Circus of Horrors, blending horror and burlesque, featuring unbelievable acts like fire breathing and sword swallowing all performed to a live rock band.
Taking a break from horrifying action, you can enjoy the offerings of a fairground with rides and plenty of food and drink options. Pumpkin paintball and corn cannons, simulators, midway games and tarot readers are all part of the festival fun.
It’s not recommended that children under 15 enter the Scream Park, but pumpkin picking is available to the younger crowds. For those older who perhaps need a bit of Dutch courage before hopping on the Haunted Hollywood Hayride, Shocktoberfest is fully licenced with two bars available on site.
Shocktoberfest is an easy 45 minute train journey from London, and accessible driving wise via M25 & M23 from London and the South Coast. Tickets are booking up fast, however. Starting at £12 and ranging all the way up to £150 for select packages, Shocktoberfest is open from now until 3 November. The finale night will see a Bonfire Night fireworks display, too, for an added bonus.
Shocktoberfest is undoubtedly the scariest event of October in the UK- totally unmissable if you enjoy all things spooky!
