REMIND YOU OF SOMEONE?
The film, Diana, which is set to be released in September and is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, follows the final years of the princess’s life, her catand- mouse game with the paparazzi, her charity work in Angola, and her relationship with British-Pakistani surgeon, Hasnat Khan.
Played by Naveen Andrews, Khan was said to have been her great love, but the surgeon was convinced press intrusion would make their lives ‘hell’ and they split shortly before her death.
Kent-born Watts, 44, recently starred alongside Ewan McGregor in The Impossible, a critically acclaimed film about the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for best actress.
And she has definitely been working hard to perfect her portrayal of Diana. She had the opportunity to explore Diana’s personal wardrobe and had six weeks’ instruction from a voice coach to perfect her voice.
She certainly looks the part.
