As the nation gears up to Afternoon Tea Week this summer, we've hand-picked some of the best events to mark the occasion with help from AfternoonTea.co.uk . Started in 2013 by AfternoonTea.co.uk, Afternoon Tea Week celebrates the great heritage of afternoon tea and is the biggest celebration of afternoon tea in the UK.

Running from 13- 19 August across tea rooms restaurants and luxury hotels, Afternoon Tea Week gives everyone the chance to indulge in the afternoon treat.

1. Floral Afternoon Tea with Flower Crown Workshop - Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt, London

In collaboration with iconic florists, Wild Things Flowers, the Vanderbilt Hotel are inviting people to join them invite you to join them and celebrate Afternoon Tea Week on Saturday 18th August with a flower crown crafting workshop and a final taste of their limited-edition Summer Blossom Afternoon Tea at Scoff & Banter Kensington.

Created in honour of the annual Chelsea Flower Show and the summer ahead, Scoff & Banter Kensington have created a remarkable, limited edition floral-infused Afternoon Tea, complete with floral-enhanced macaroons and rose-iced cupcakes amongst other exquisite pastries in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea. 

Beginning with a glass of floral-infused prosecco, the experts from Wild Things Flowers will teach attendees how to create beautiful flower crowns, followed by their exquisite afternoon tea. Featuring an array of freshly made finger sandwiches, homemade scones, floral-infused cakes and pastries, teas and coffees, it's a well-deserved treat to finish the day.

2. Truffle Afternoon Tea Menu Launch - The Hari Hotel, London

In celebration of Afternoon Tea Week, The Hari Hotel are launching their new Truffle Afternoon Tea. Served in the elegant Il Pampero Restaurant, this menu features a range of sweet and savoury items infused with the rare Italian truffle to craft a new and unique Afternoon Tea experience.  

The Truffle Afternoon Tea will use summer truffle from Italy within each of the savoury and sweet treats. Found in the same regions of Italy as the winter variety, this truffle is more delicate and fragile which is why their season is so short.

Expect savoury delights such as truffle pears and porcini salad, beef carpaccio and truffle bruschetta, and arancini truffle; while sweeter treats include macaroons, coffee tartelette, hazelnut bignè or cream cheese cannoli.

3. Luxury Champagne Afternoon Tea on The Belmond British Pullman – London and surrounding countryside
